Global Fashion Retailer Cuts $1M in Annual Energy Costs
With over 400 stores in 50 countries, this global fashion company was keen to gain a better understanding of their energy consumption. Having that knowledge would help them cut costs, reduce their carbon footprint, and better support their corporate sustainability pledge.
The Solution
The energy insights solution was set up across six pilot sites using non-intrusive wireless technology with self-powered sensors. Real-time data was collected and analyzed via a cloud-based analytics system, providing actionable insight by highlighting operational inefficiencies. The data was also integrated into the customer's own building management system.
The Results
Thanks to smart technology and expert insight, energy use was reduced by 15%, saving $20k across the initial six stores. The solution is now being rolled out across 60 stores in North America, Europe, and Asia, with a projected annual saving of $1M.
